Squalane

Squalane is a plant-derived emollient. The version in the line is sourced from olive and sugarcane. It is stable on the shelf, which matters in a lotion that is going to sit in a bathroom for a month. It is also one of the lighter emollients, which matters because the format is meant to read like a finish, not a coat.

In the bottle, squalane is invisible. On the skin, it sits over the water that the hyaluronic acid pulled in. Together the two are the answer to the lotion question. One holds water. The other sits close. The bottle reads light pouring out, soft going on, and quiet five minutes later. That third reading is where squalane does its work.

In these scents: all ten. In these formats: Body Lotion.

Reads light. Sits close.

Sensory note

Reads as nothing. Sits between water and oil. The reason the lotion is not sticky.
